Carriage House
The Decatur Carriage House is a modern yet historically-sensitive addition to the Decatur House Museum. Recognized for its classic elegance, the space is a Washington favorite for its beautiful and spacious ballroom, its 20-foot vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows and French doors that look out onto the courtyard. Equipped with a state-of-the-art audio visual package, the Carriage House also meets the needs of today’s business professionals by providing a beautiful, convenient and unique setting for meetings, seminars and conferences in downtown Washington.

Courtyard
Stately French doors from the Carriage House open onto the 2400 square-foot bricked courtyard surrounded by 19th-century perimeter garden beds and a fountain. A “quiet oasis” nestled in the powerful White House neighborhood, the handsome courtyard is perfect for tented or “alfresco” events and weddings.

Entertaining Parlors
The Entertaining Parlors within the historic house museum are perfect for intimate gatherings. Striking inlayed wood floors, 19th–century chandeliers, full-length mirrors and painted ceilings ornament these elegant rooms.
